Whether you are new to the food truck industry or have been doing the whole mobile kitchen owner thing for a while, you still likely contemplate what to put on your menu from time to time. Of course, that tends to especially be the case for new owners in this industry.
Whether the case, if you are thinking about adding a taco recipe to your menu, then we have you covered.
Below, we will provide some delicious ingredients that will help you create the ultimate taco for your food truck menu. Enjoy!
Carne Asada Tacos
Here’s what you will need to make this taco recipe. Note: The quantity of each ingredient depends on how many tacos you plan on making.
- Bell Peppers
- Sour Cream
- Tortillas (we prefer corn)
First things first, you, of course, need to cook your beef. We highly recommend using high-quality beef. After all, your customers might expect their food rather quickly, but that does not mean you should skimp on the ingredients. Plus, the cooking times won’t matter (high-quality beef won’t take any longer), just the taste and quality. If you would like, you can add some seasoning as well. Once the meat is done, you can cut it up. If you did this step first, then that is completely fine.
Either before, after or while the meat is cooking, you, or an employee, can start cutting up the onions and bell peppers (or peppers of your choosing), and tearing apart the cilantro. Feel free to grill the onions and peppers after this step. In fact, that will make these tacos taste that much better.
Once both of these steps have been taken care of, it’s time to give your tortillas some attention by putting them on the grill for a short period of time (don’t forget to do both sides!).
Once that is finished, it’s time to put everything together. Therefore, get out your plate(s), place the tortilla(s) on said plate(s) and then add the beef. After that, it’s time to add the peppers and onions. Squeezing of the lime should come shortly after that step, as well as putting on the cilantro. Finally, you add your sour cream, or some form of sauce to give it a kick, and then your food truck taco recipe is complete!
Recommendation: Add guacamole to your tacos, or on the side with some chips. If you want to get a little creative — but not overly creative — then you can make some guacamole consisting of avocados, tomatoes, cilantro, limes, onions and salt. This will really get the taste buds going.
This was just a basic recipe, and we urge you to get as creative as you would like when it comes to cooking these food truck tacos up. Of course, you are the chef here, and you run your own kitchen, so you probably can give these tacos quite the twist (and make them align better with your food truck concept in the process).
